Each mind waits. Not broken — not yet connected in all the right ways.

About this piece

In a planning note written years before any of the infrastructure existed, David wrote a parenthetical instruction to himself: "Any time there is a temptation to make a value judgment about someone's intelligence, assume that they are just not yet connected in all the right ways."

That sentence contains the entire philosophy. Intelligence isn't a quantity. It's a connectivity measure. The vault that holds our research — 3,000+ files across four workspaces — is built on this principle: the connections ARE the intelligence. Orphan documents are wasted knowledge. Every link between ideas creates something neither idea contained alone.

This piece demonstrates the principle. Thirty nodes start scattered and dim. Click near any node to connect it to its nearest unconnected neighbor. Watch as light propagates through the network. Each new connection brightens everything it touches. The intelligence emerges not from the nodes themselves, but from the paths between them.

Press Connect all to watch the full cascade. Or build it yourself, one link at a time. Either way, the destination is the same: a network where every mind is lit because every mind is connected.
